A large ridge of high pressure has blocked the jet stream from entering the Plains or East over the last week,but that is about to change. By mid-week,the jet stream will push into the Southwest and Plains,and a low-pressure system will sweep across the northern Plains. There are some questions about how much moisture returns ahead of the storm system. Meteorologist Jonathan Belles gives an early look at where severe thunderstorms are possible in the week ahead with this change in pattern.
